US Launch of VilCap Communities

Village Capital, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the Sorenson Global Impact Investing Center, Revolution, and Rise of the Rest, are gathering funders and investors who believe entrepreneurs can build a better U.S. economy. On March 18, we'll be launching VilCap Communities in Salt Lake City, Utah to accelerate the closing of the "pioneer gap" for entrepreneurs who can change the world.

As part of the launch, leaders from 12-15 communities across the U.S., representing over $1 million in pre-committed, peer-selected investment, will lay out their vision for how entrepreneurs can transform their communities.

Steve Case, founder of AOL, will preview his new book, The Third Wave, highlighting how the next generation of Internet entrepreneurs can solve problems both in America and around the world. Other speakers include: Jim Sorenson, Wendy Guillies, Ross Baird, Julie Lenzer, and Paul Noglows.
